Andrew S Jack, MD, MSc, FRCSC
Dr. Andrew Jack convocated from the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 2011. He then went on to complete his neurosurgical residency training at the University of Alberta, taking an early interest in spinal and peripheral nerve surgery. Having gained an appreciation for both basic science and clinical research alike in his training, he also completed a Master of Neuroscience degree investigating the role of electrical stimulation in promoting spinal cord injury recovery through the Clinical Investigator Program at the University of Alberta.
After residency, Dr. Jack completed a Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Fellowship under the mentorship of Drs. Jens Chapman, Robert Hart, and Rod Oskouian at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle. He then went on to complete a second fellowship in Peripheral Nerve Surgery at the University of California San Francisco under Dr. Line Jacques. Dr. Jack is currently a faculty member of the Division of Neurosurgery at the University of Alberta with a clinical and research interest in complex spinal deformity surgery, as well as peripheral nerve surgery.
