Parker Smith is a second year medical student at UT Southwestern Medical School. Prior to starting classes at UTSW, he attended Texas A&M University where he majored in Biochemistry graduating Summa Cum Laude with University Honors. Exposure to trauma, vascular, tumor, and spine surgery during his college years allowed Parker to discover his interest in the field of neurosurgery. Since starting medical school, Parker has explored these interests at UTSW in spine, pediatrics, tumor, and functional neurosurgery which has helped to deepen his passion in the field to begin a fruitful academic and clinical career.
