Kevin Heo, BS. I'm a fourth year medical student at Emory University conducting spine research with Dr. Tim Yoon within the Department of Orthopaedics. Our research together focuses on identifying national trends in spine surgery and improving postoperative complications utilizing large datasets. Our most recent projects are in utilizing machine learning models to predict risk factors for medical or surgical complications after spine surgery, including deep vein thrombosis and acute kidney injury.
