Medical Student
Hospital For Special Surgery/Weill Cornell Medical College
My name is Chukwuebuka Achebe, but i go by "Ebuka". I am from Lagos, Nigeria and moved to the U.S. at age 12. I spent 5 years living in Tampa, Fl and moved to Baltimore, MD to obtain a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. During my time at Hopkins, I participated in Tissue Engineering research at the Grayson Lab for Craniofacial Orthopaedic Tissue Engineering, where I worked on designing, manufacturing and mechanically testing biodegradable scaffolds for replacing craniofacial bone. I am now a fourth year MD/MBA student at Weill Cornell, interested in pursuing a career in Orthopeadic Spine Surgery. In my free time, I do a fair amount of Brazillian Jiu Jistu and have placed in local tournaments.
