I'm Nolan Brown, MBA, a fith year MD-MBA student at the University of California, Irvine currently applying to neurosurgery residency. My interest in neurosurgery began as an undergraduate at UC Irvine where I majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. After completng a course in basic neuroscience, which ended up being one of my favorite courses in college, I began to consider purusing a career in neurosurgery. In sticking with this plan, I continued my medical education at the University of California, Irvine, where I am currently nearing completion of my dual MD/MBA degree program. So far, my interest in neuroscience and neurosurgery has grown more than I could have ever expected, as I have been lucky to receive guidance from outstanding mentors. In neurosurgery, I hope to combine my love for healing people with my passion for understanding the human brain. My greatest dream is to improve the quality of life of people from all backgrounds while engaging in the most cutting edge research in neuroscience.
