Jay Kumar is a sixth-year neurosurgery resident at the University of South Florida. Originally from Oklahoma City, he obtained his MD at Harvard Medical School and his MBA at Harvard Business School, graduating with honors from both. He completed an enfolded spine fellowship at the San Diego Spine Foundation directed by Dr. Gregory Mundis and Dr. Robert Eastlack. After finishing residency, he is scheduled to complete a post-graduate spine fellowship at the University of California-San Francisco under Dr. Praveen Mummaneni and Dr. Lee Tan. His clinical interests include spinal deformity, minimally invasive spine surgery, endoscopic spine surgery, and spinal tumors.
