Nafis Eghrari is a second-year medical student at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his research block at the Barrow Neurological Institute in his hometown, Phoenix, Arizona. Nafis completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences at Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University, with minors in Health Innovation and Spanish. Nafis holds several leadership positions in his medical school, including serving as Treasurer of his school’s AANS Chapter, co-founder of the school’s PM&R Student Interest Group, and executive officer for HyperCase. He also volunteers biweekly at InMotion, where he assists coaches with exercise classes for patients with Parkinson’s Disease. Nafis’s research interests include lumbar spine surgeries, interventional spine procedures, pain medicine, and stroke. Outside of medicine, Nafis enjoys traveling, weightlifting, basketball, and playing the piano.
