Pooja Dave, BS is a third-year medical student at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and then moved to Memphis, Tennessee to attend Rhodes College where she majored in neuroscience and minored in business and commerce as well as chemistry. She graduated summa cum laude with the class of 2019 as a member of the Rhodes College Hall of Fame.

Pooja first became interested in neurosurgery in high school, but fell in love with the field when she had the opportunity to shadow the neurosurgery team at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in 2016. Since then, she completed has completed 2 summer internships with the pediatric neurosurgery team at Le Bonheur, published 10 neurosurgical papers, and given an oral presentation at the pediatric AANS conference in 2018. She is still pursuing a career in neurosurgery as she continues her medical education.
