Iyan Younus, MD is from Central Texas and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and minor in Neuroscience from Texas A&M University in 2016 and received his medical degree with honors in research from Cornell University in 2020.
Iyan’s clinical interests include open and minimally invasive surgical treatment of all spinal disorders including degenerative spine disease, primary and metastatic spine tumors, spine trauma, and spinal deformity. Iyan is interested in incorporating new technological advances in spinal navigation, robotics, and minimally invasive approaches to improve safety and quality of patient care.
Iyan’s research has focused on clinical spine outcomes, minimally invasive approaches, and neurosurgical education. Iyan has authored peer-reviewed publications published in the Journal of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgery, Operative Neurosurgery, Spine, and Neurosurgical Focus.
Iyan is an avid sports fan, especially football and basketball. He also enjoys reading, music, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
